Create a Rubric in your Canvas course

This guide will show you how to create a Rubric in Canvas. You can also visit the Canvas Instructor Guide for more detailed information.

Create the Rubric

1. Navigate to the course or sub-account you’d like to create the Rubric for and select Rubric.
2. Select Add Rubrics.
3. Add a title and criteria for your Rubric. Add as many criteria as you need.
4. Add descriptions for the Ratings.
5. When you’re done, select Create Rubric.

Attach the Rubric to an Assignment

1. Once you download the Canvas Student App, you will be asked to Find My School Enter AMDA.
2. You will be re-directed to the AMDA Canvas Log-in Page, Choose Student & Faculty Login.
3. At the next screen either enter your @amda.edu email address or choose it from the list.
