1098-T – Access and Saving
AMDA provides eligible students with access to their IRS Form 1098-T through the Student Portal. The 1098-T is an official tuition statement that reports qualified educational expenses paid during the prior tax year and may be used when preparing income taxes. AMDA’s electronic delivery of this form is IRS approved, and the form can be viewed, downloaded, and printed directly from the Student Portal.
1098-T forms are typically made available by January 31 each year for the prior tax year.
If you are claimed as a dependent, you should share a copy of your 1098-T with the person who files your taxes.
Not all students will receive a 1098-T. The form is issued only to students who are U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents and who paid qualified educational expenses. Qualified expenses generally include tuition, required enrollment fees, and required course materials.
