AMDA Windows Laptop

This guide will walk you though the setup of your AMDA Windows Laptop.


Getting Started Setup

Your AMDA Laptop will be setup with some pre-configuration’s but it may still take 15-45 minutes to complete the setup process depending on your internet speed, we recommend you plug in the laptop to wall power during this setup to insure the battery does not drain. The Laptop may reboot a couple times during this process. If after 1 hour you still are unable to log-in please contact the AMDA Helpdesk

When you receive your laptop power it on and follow the on-screen instructions to connect to Wi-Fi and log in with your AMDA Email address and password.
Note you must already have your MFA Setup before this can be done; MFA setup info can be found here

Once the Setup is complete you will be asked to setup Windows Hello, this is a password less way to log into your laptop with biometrics or a 6 digit pin, at a minimum a pin is required.

Pre Installed Applications

Outlook

Outlook is pre-installed and configured on the laptop, it can be launched via the desktop icon or via the start menu. It is not recommend you use Citrix to access outlook on this laptop and to use the local application.

Citrix

Citrix can be launched via the AMDA Citrix icon on the desktop or via the start menu, the application is pre-configured for the AMDA Citrix environment and should automatically log you in.

Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge is the only pre-installed browser on the computer, AMDA discontinuing the support of Google Chrome on AMDA Laptops. Edge has all the same features of Chrome but will automatically sync with your AMDA Office 365 account keeping all your settings when moving from computer to computer.
